Graceland Women's Soccer Inks Top Recruit
Kia Condit comes to Graceland from
Kansas City, Missouri, where she has been a varsity
goalkeeper on the highly competitive Park Hill High School
team since her freshman year. During her time there Park
Hill has won conference, once district championship, and has
twice been runner-up for conference and district titles, and
has been ranked in the Missouri Coaches State Top 15 poll.
Condit played for the Kansas City Strikers "Wolves" . She
has also traveled to Scotland and Wales to compete in two
international tournaments. She is very active in her church
youth group and has served as Counselor in Training for two
years at Junior High camp. She has also provided teaching
ministry at her home congregation, the Highlands. Kia has
helped coach 2 youth soccer teams and 2 volleyball teams,
which she hopes will help her future ambition to be a
teacher and/or coach. "I am really excited about attending
Graceland," said Condit. "After considering other
universities, Graceland is the place I want to be. I am
thrilled to move forward in a place I can best grow as a
soccer player and as a person". Coach Wagenaar said of Kia,
"Kia brings a very exuberant personality to the field. It is
a pleasure to coach players such as Kia who so evidently
just loves playing the game of soccer. Kia is a fierce
competitor and a fearless ‘keeper."
