KC Strikers
Welcomes new coaching additions for 2008;
The club are
excited to announce new coaches for the upcoming season.
Joining will
be Beth Wheeler, Jillian Carroll, Dan Brown, Steve Miller, Ramin Esfandiary,
Carrie Fry & Nikki Champe.
Richard "Wolfie"
Thompson
Wolfie attended the University of Wales Cardiff where obtained a
degree in Human Movement Studies (Kinesiology), while also representing
the Welsh Universities soccer team.He completed his
MLA at Baker University. Wolfie has worked
at a youth coach for Cardiff City Football Club prior to moving to Kansas
City in 1999. He holds a UEFA 'B' coaching license
and a NSCAA National Diploma(2006) & Advanced National Diploma(2007).
Jim Ricker
Jim holds the USSF National "B" License.
As the Head high school coach at Shawnee Mission East, the Lancers
women's program won consecutive Kansas 6A State soccer titles. Jim is highly regarded for
developing players at all levels, through his involvement in club and
high school soccer. Jim established and directed the KC Arsenal
Soccer Club since 1993 and has directed summer camps for the past 8
years.
Jamie Kelly
Jamie Kelly has been the assistant Varsity coach at Shawnee
Mission East for the last three years, and was the JV coach at Marshall
High School for two years. This year he adds JV Boys coach at
Shawnee Mission East to his list of responsibilities. He attended Missouri Valley College where
he played for four years. Jamie has received his USSF National 'D' License
and NSCAA National Diploma.
Beth Wheeler ;
Olathe East Assistant
Varsity coach, Beth played at Olathe east and MU.
Carrie Fry;
Dan Brown;
Attended and played at Olathe
North High school, played on state & regional winning teams
with club team Udinese.
Named Kansas referee of the year 1992.
Jillian Carroll;
Played soccer at St.Thomas Aquinas, before going on to play at the
University
of Northern Iowa.
Steve Miller ;
Ramin Esfandiary
;
Nikki Champe;
Assistant coach at UMKC,
Nikki is the clubs goalkeeping coach
Carl Eaton;
Has been with the club for 3 years, formerly with kcfc.
Dan Rooney ;
Dan has coached premier
soccer in the Minnesota and Kansas city area for over 12 years.
Matt Pritchett
Matt has coached both
club and high school soccer in the Kansas city area, as well as coaching
Kansas ODP. He is currently the Head coach at Pembroke High school. Matt
played soccer at the University of Missouri, and has obtained his USSF
'D' licence, NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma and Goalkeeping course.
