94/95g Sun Devils NEWS
FUTSAL
Finalists (feb 08)
One week after winning their
futsal league, the SunDevils maroon went on to
take 2nd place in the futsal
tournament.
After going undefeated in their
group, the girls ended runner up losing the final 2-7.
94/95G
take First place in Futsal 2008
Both the Maroon & Yellow
teams won their Futsal division in 2008.
In D2 (red) Maroon went
undefeated, with a record of 7-0-1, and in D2 (blue)
Yellow took first with a
record or 5-2-1.
The
94/95 Girls finish runner up in Lawrence.
The KC Strikers Sun Devils
finished in second place in Lawrence at the All girls cup.
They advance to the final
following two ties and a win:
(T) 0-0 bv power, (W) 4-1 shawnee,
(T) 1-1 shockwave
The final finished tied 1-1,
sending the teams to Pk's where the Strikers girls lost
out finishing in 2nd place.
Members of
the KC Strikers 94/95 team recently visited Operation Breakthrough,
an organzation in Kansas City, Mo., that helps children who are living
in poverty develop to their fullest potential by providing a safe,
loving and educational environment. The team collected and donated
several bags of children's clothing as well as food items for
the pantry, but the most beneficial part of the expereince was the time
the players spent with the children. The players were able to interact
with dozens of children both individually and in small groups, and had a
great time playing in the courtyard. For more information on Operation
